"I am so excited to return to Arlington for my second season. Last season was incredible. I would like to thank all my players, parents, coaches, volunteers and staff for such a great first season. There were lots of positives from last season, but still lots of work to do for us to be just as successful for this season. I would also like to thank these gentlman for taking on the challenge and helping me grow hockey here in Texas! I am looking forward to another fun year of Ice Bandits Hockey! Jaskiewicz stated.

In 3 years, Coach Kunkel earned his bachelor's degree in economics and is looking to pursue a career in sports management. "I was speaking with our Goalie Coach, Landon Rhude and he mentioned Coach Kunkle’s name to me. He spoke incredibly highly of Barrett. I immediately reached out to Barrett and brought him in for an interview. Coach Kunkel has also been a supervisor at Camp Thurman for the past 5 years. He is in charge or multiple supervisors as well as the younger group of kids at camp. He understands how to work with young kids and how to motivate them that is important when building the foundation of a young hockey player. Barrett understands the game of hockey and I know our players will thrive under his guidance," stated Jaskiewicz. Welcome to the Ice Bandits Family Coach Kunkel!

The first practice he came out to and he commanded his players attention. You could tell he would be good at this. He understands the game well; he does a great job developing players and he wants his players to play the right way.
